Clinical Supervisor Job Description:

The Program Supervisor is responsible for the daily management, administration, and coordination of the Family Foster Care program. The Program Supervisor develops and implements services for the Family Foster Care program including the recruitment, retention, and certification of foster parents. The program supervisor is also responsible for oversight and management of staff, business activities, and administrative procedures associated with the 29-I licensure guidelines.

Clinical Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Supervise assigned program staff in the day-to-day implementation of program services; interprets and implements state regulations.  Develop and updates program policy and procedure.
  • Ensure continuity of client services and high standards of the program; delegate direct services and makes case assignments. Provide services to foster parents and children, as necessary.
  • Maintain and update required records and documents for services provided. Monitor and evaluate all client treatment plans and foster parent certifications.
  • Respond to and effectively handles emergency situations that may require flexibility of both time and areas of assignment.
  • Share on-call beeper responsibilities. Take corrective action to ensure staff coverage, crisis interventions, and other tasks as assigned.

 

Clinical Supervisor Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work or related clinical degree and three (3) years of experience in providing clinical services to families and children.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred. 
  • Licensure preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of the Child Welfare system, foster care healthcare requirements, Medicaid Managed Care policies and operations.
  • Must have a valid New York State driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and with flexibility in days and hours of work. 
  • Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, industry, and an understanding of the foster care system including issues relevant to foster children, their biological families and foster families.
  • Experience managing crises preferred.
  • Demonstrates the values of diversity, equity and belonging; foster an inclusive environment that facilitates diversity.

Rate: $60,000 - $65,000
