Position Summary: 

 

This position is primarily focused on grant and contract management and financial performance for grants and contracts held with Liberty Resources and Liberty Resources, POST. The Sr. Grants Coordinator will supervise and mentor a team of Analysts and will serve as the analyst leader to support multiple grants and contracts within the agency. The ideal Senior Grants Coordinator candidate is someone who enjoys working on a great team, who has a keen attention to detail, is deadline driven and enjoys handling a variety of responsibilities! The ability to work remotely will be considered for this position.

 

Job Responsibilities and Duties:  

 

  • Supervise and mentor a team of Grant Analysts who are responsible for monthly and quarterly vouchering for new and existing contracts, along with preparing budgets and budget modifications.
  • Analyze actual expenses and revenue according to the contract budgets and agency budget, as well as forecasting expenses/revenue throughout the contract period.
  • Review vouchers, budgets and budget modifications prepared by Grant Analysts.
  • Collaborate with programs to develop budgets and justifications according to guidelines and instructions for request for proposals (RFP’s).
  • Abide by rules and regulations of State Agencies (OASAS, OMH, OPWDD, OCFS, DOH, SED), along with researching and awareness of any changes to rules and regulations.
  • Be able to communicate professionally with Federal, State and Local government units, as well as Leadership on how contracts are performing and making recommendations, along with providing any documentation that funders may request.
  • Assist with vouchering, budgets and budget modifications when Grant Analysts need assistance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to contract management, RFP’s, time and attendance reports, MWBE requirements, etc.
  • Responsible for various internal/external audits.
  • Review all documents and work prepared for accuracy, adheres to generally accepted accounting procedures and compliance with procedures described in the accounting manual, as well as the executed contract.
  • Perform follow-up and collection procedures on outstanding accounts receivables related to contracts.
  • Perform other tasks or special projects given by the Director of Finance, as well as attending and participating in staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate to streamline any processes to make them more efficient, as well as work independently to complete tasks and meet deadlines.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required; Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of Finance or Accounting experience required.
  • Must be proficient in Excel and be willing and able to learn various computer applications.
  • Must be detail oriented, flexible and be able to prioritize workload.

Range of pay: $75,000 to $85,000
