Key Responsibilities:

·         Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant Kubernetes clusters.

·         Kubernetes core concepts, Deployment, ReplicaSet, DaemonSet, Statefulsets, Jobs.

·         Kubernetes network policies for internal firewall (cilium)

·         Ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructures to provide maximum performance for users.

·         Develop and maintain automation workflows for deployment and maintenance tasks.

·         Monitor, Troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the Kubernetes environment.

·         Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for deployment within Kubernetes.

·         Ensure security best practices are followed and implemented within the Kubernetes clusters.

·         Collaborate with development teams to facilitate containerization and microservice deployment.

·         Document all procedures and workflows related to the Kubernetes environment.

·         Stay current with new technologies and best practices related to container orchestration.

·         Managing Kubernetes secrets

·         Ingress Controllers (Nginx, Istio etc) and cloud native load balancers

·         Managing Kubernetes storages (PV, PVC, Storage Classes, Provisioners)

·         Kubernetes Networking (Services, Endpoints, DNS, Load Balancers)

·         Managing resource quotas

Essential Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Equivalent Experience.

·         Proficient understanding of containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes orchestration.

·         Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes deployment within these environments.

·         Experience with Azure could infrastructure (AKS, Application Gateway, Load Balancers, Linux VMs)

·         Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.

·         Knowledge of networking, storage, and security best practices in a Kubernetes context.

·         Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or an equivalent. A working understanding of continuous integration technologies (such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Maven, Gradle, Gerrit, Git, etc) and other DevOps tools and best practices.

·         Ability to write scripts in languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl, API development including REST/ JSON, and orchestration, messaging, and stream processing technologies such as RabbitMQ and Kafka

·         Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools that can integrate with Kubernetes like Grafana, Prometheus, Rancher, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana

Desirable Qualifications:

·         Kubernetes Administrator Certification (CKA) is highly advantageous.

·         Understanding of microservices architecture and associated design patterns.

·         Experience with Azure Git Repos and Azure Devops.

Minimum Requirements: College degree in a Technical or related field and 3-5 years professional level experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 7+ years professional level related Technical experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.

Actual base pay for this job will depend on the candidate's primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience The starting compensation range for this job is 88,500 to 120,800
