About the role

Simon & Schuster India is looking for an experienced Digital Sales Manager, who will report directly to the Managing Director. The Digital Sales Manager will work across a number of high-profile key accounts such as Amazon, Flipkart and Jiomart to identify opportunities and deliver growth across the S&S India lists, developing sales strategies for individual titles and author brands, ensuring all sales targets are met. The candidate will provide data, work on fulfilments, analyse and predict the orders and manage the promotions.

Responsibilities

As Digital Sales Manager you will be responsible for:

  • All sales-related activity within own accounts (e.g., negotiating terms, discounts and returns; agreeing promotions; building and maintaining customer relationships with key individuals; identifying new customers, etc.).
  • Providing information to support decision-making process in acquisitions (e.g., identification of sales/new product opportunities; market/competitors analysis, etc.).
  • Maintaining own awareness of product to sell effectively.
  • Responsible for the Amazon Marketing Services and managing the vendor central account.
  • Working with key stakeholders at Cocublu and coordinating with Harper Collins operations team.
  • Working with the US and Amazon team looking after eBooks & eAudio promotions.

 

Person specification requirement

  • Data analytics, Online/Digital ad technology and previous experience incorporating these attributes into sales strategies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise workload.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and managing complicated processes and spreadsheets.
  • Able to multitask and coordinate between multiple teams and vendors.
  • Able to apply marketing and digital sales strategies to Key Accounts.
  • Great time management, including able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Numeracy skills.
  • Problem solving.
  • Strong and effective communication skills.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, being able to form lasting, professional relationships with peers and customers.
  • Publishing background or related field is desirable but not essential. 
  • Able to apply marketing and digital sales strategies to Key Accounts
