JOB SUMMARY

The Youth Referral Intake Coordinator is an individual who assists in addressing all the ancillary concerns and needs of the child and adolescent program by providing ongoing support, needs identification, intra-agency, external coordination in conjunction with the established Child/Adolescent treatment team. This employee is responsible for accepting and coordinating all youth referrals from schools, agencies, and other outside referral sources. The intake coordinator will also be responsible for scheduling, outreach, and providing support for youth with serious emotional disturbances (SED) and engaging them to connect to behavioral health services. The intake coordinator will work with CBI’s School Based Service staff and contracted school personnel to provide support and awareness about the program, along with providing community outreach and engagement.

Each area below is defined by specific function as it relates to policy, process, and the governing rules set forth by the Arizona Health Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), Office of Behavioral Health Licensure (OBHL), and the Code of Federal Regulations. Each employee will be held accountable and responsible for fulfilling each of these duties as well as having the capability to carry them out.

Skills/Requirements

 

• Associate degree or higher in a field related to behavioral health required. In lieu of an associate degree, a high school diploma or GED and five (5) years of behavioral health experience will be considered.

• Three (3) years of experience in the field of behavioral health required.

• Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred.

• Current AZ Driver's License (valid and in good standing)

• Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

• Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in accordance with A.A.C. R9-10-101.33 and CBI Clinical Policies and Procedures

• Peer Certification preferred

• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
