We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, high energy, and innovative Pastry Helper in Miami, FL (10min drive from MIA Airport).

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist pastry production team, chefs, and cooks with mixing pastry products, plating cold meals such as fruit salads and pastries. Use knife skills for cutting and peeling fruit.
  • Perform tasks in different station such as (Fruit cutting station, economy packing station, juice station, basket station, assembling and plating food etc.)
  • Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
  • Report problems with the food safety management system to their manager and the hygiene and food safety team
  • Keep immediate work area clean at all times and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
  • Store ingredients and food items according to food safety standards and follow the guidance of the executive or sous chef
  • Assist kitchen staff to unload food supplies from delivery trucks
  • Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
  • Support in training pastry helpers and perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Proactive and self-organization
  • Ability to manage through a substantial workload
  • Capability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks within the given time in order to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to accurately monitor wastage
  • Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays)
  • Preferred experience in Pastry/ Bakery.
  • Familiarity with common baking ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment, and baking times.
