We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic, energetic, and eager Equipment Packer Supervisor in Miami, FL (10min drive from MIA Airport).

What you’ll do:

 

Supervise the team of equipment runners and lead the daily equipment flow between the equipment department associates, monitors product quality frequently and reports problems to mitigate safety issues. Assist Logistics Manager in coordinating logistics, warehouse, inventory control, and transportation to ensure smooth and accurate operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise equipment runners who are tasked with the supply and flow of all needed equipment assigned to a department.
  • Control stock, daily floating stock, keep back-up storage system up to date, take inventory. Manage the requisition process for equipment.
  • Oversee tray setup for all classes of travel and the airlines supply for each station as needed.
  • Maintain all production areas organized and tidy, all equipment in its proper place and in operational function.
  • Review and maintain inventories for all airlines and ensure par level maintenance accordingly. Prepare correct paperwork for the Equipment and Beverage packing according to company guidelines.
  • Accomplish goals and objectives on time and assist supervisors and kitchen staff as needed.
  • Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook.
  • Comply with laws and regulations, food safety and hygiene regulations as per DO & CO standards as well as report problems in relation to that to relevant managers and the hygiene and food safety team.
  • Observe the work performance of equipment packers, report to supervisors any deficiencies, challenges, or poor performance of any equipment packers.
  • Assess, manage, and minimize risks.
  • Train new team members and motivate them.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture.

 

Qualifications:

  • Awareness of the operational sequences
  • Strong and effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, can operate resourcefully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Highly organized and diligent, pays attention to detail and follows through.
  • Ability to work well within a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment and with a diverse clientele that requires a hands-on approach to our guests needs.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks within the given time to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work in cold or/and hot environment.
  • Position requires ability to move, lift, carry, pull or push as needed.
  • Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays)

 

Education & Experience 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual preferred
  • 1 year of experience as an equipment runner or as a team leader in a similar role.
  • Proficient computer skills (Particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
