A day as an Indian Cuisine Cook: 

  • Create DO & CO’s products in terms of freshness, taste, and consistency to the specification of the airline and DO & CO’s standards
  • Understand all cooking techniques such as prepping, roasting, broiling, braising, sautéing, grilling. etc.
  • Standardize recipes and notify the Chef/Sous Chef of any shortages or discrepancies in products or ingredients
  • Supervise supply-chain systems: control timing of the food production flow and supervise the processing to avoid delays and lapses
  • Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations as stated in the food safety management system handbook 
  • Report problems with the food safety management system to manager and the hygiene and food safety team
  • Ensure adequate supplies are available at the cooking stations
  • Follow the guidance of the executive or sous chef and input new presentation or dish ideas
  • Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
  • Upkeep and maintain food safety

Who you are:  

  • Minimum of 1 year of culinary experience in a high-volume, full-service kitchen specializing in Indian cuisine
  • A fulltime cook who is energetic, hard-working, organized, and familiar with working in a fast-paced environments 
  • Knowledgeable of ingredients, measuring techniques, mixing methods, kitchen equipment, and cooking times
  • Flexible (able to work different shifts - nights, weekends, holidays)
  • Able to manage through a substantial workload
  • Capable to work independently as well as in a team environment 
  • Able to complete assigned tasks within the given time to meet strict deadlines
