Summary/Purpose

Customer relations for all OEM / Service customers.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

Knowledge of Oracle systems for customer ordering (EDI) and customer (ASN).
Maintain satisfactory customer rating for delivery.
Maintain customer system requirements (SMART, Covisint, GM Supply Power, and Toyota Supplier System).
Maintain proper records and documentation for shipments.
Responsible for customer contact and satisfaction for all OEM / Service customers.
Attend customer conferences and training, as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge and experience of OEM / Service customer requirements and systems.
Good interpersonal skills.
Good communication skills (written and oral).
Computer skills (Windows, Excel, Oracle (preferred).
Knowledge of Oracle systems (EDI - ASN).
Knowledge of Kanban system and visual controls.
Takes pressure well.
Takes ownership and responsibility.
Organizational skills.
Detail oriented.
Knowledge of manufacturing operations.
Knowledge of factors that influence inventory (B.O.M., reporting, etc.).
Ability to work overtime is an essential function of the position.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree Business, Transportation/Logistics preferred, but not required.
Experience in Shipping and/or Production Control.
Computer experience.

Work is mostly performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards, and with substantial time spent working on a computer. Requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard and other office equipment.

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, safety vest as required by area, and mandatory hearing protection as required by area.
Travel by automobile and plane required approximately 10-20% of time.
