After School Supervisor

Position Summary:
As the After School Supervisor you will be responsible for the overall management of a) the Elementary (KG - 5G) Extended Day program. You would be responsible for the direct supervision of all lunch and after school staff and for the overall supervision of students enrolled in this program to ensure their health and safety at all times. You will serve as a key role model for the Extended Day staff, and you will work in conjunction with the campus leadership to maintain the standards of Stratford’s After School Program.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Program Oversight:

Oversee the implementation of the daily After School program.

Supervise the posted lesson plans from the After School team, including arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities.

Supervise school lunches, ensuring compliance with the “ServeSafe” practices as required by the health department.

Ensure ratio compliance and ensure that Stratford's policies and procedures are followed

Implement quality control measures to support Stratford’s mission and high standards for the Extended Day program.
Supervision, Coaching, and Training:

In collaboration with the School leaders, develop, adjust, and communicate the Extended Day staffing schedule to meet all program and financial goals.

In collaboration with Campus Leaders, interview and hire all staff members for the After School/lunch team.
- Complete the onboarding and initial training of all new After School staff members.
- Develop the After School training schedule in collaboration with the home office staff and campus leaders.
- Provide regular classroom management training and safety training to all team members through monthly staff meetings or other training events as needed.
- Train staff to uphold Stratford’s Positive Discipline policy including regular follow-up for accountability.
- Observe team members daily with the goal of developing them.
- Provide performance feedback and coach the After School/lunch team toward the school goals
Parent and Student Communication and Professional Practices:

Serve as a role model and consistently model Stratford practices and standards with the After School team on appropriate teacher-to-student interaction.

Provide regular communication to the parents adhering to all Guiding Principles and Standards of Practice.

Maintain a warm and professional attitude and loyalty to the school at all times.

Attend all staff meetings and training programs as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Education:

Associates Degree or equivalent experience in education programs required

Prior supervisory experience required

Experience in elementary and/or middle school student after-school or summer programming desired (camps, YMCA, etc.)

Competency in general computer skills; Google suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) proficient

A passion for students, teachers, growth, and learning
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse array of contacts.
- Have a high level of energy with the ability to move from a sitting to standing position frequently.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and perform extensive walking to ensure supervision of students
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and be able to work indoors and outdoors.
- Must be able to supervise students by sight and sound.
