As part of our Human Resources team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our employees are well-supported during their leave of absence. We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Leave of Absence Coordinator to join our team.

The Leave of Absence Coordinator is a vital member of our Human Resources team, responsible for managing and supporting the administration of our company leave programs and policies. You will act as a liaison between Human Resources, the Payroll team, and employees, ensuring that leave information is communicated effectively and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leave Management: Manage all types of employee leaves including medical, family, personal, and other company leaves. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company leave policies such as FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and workers’ compensation nationwide. Stay updated on changes in leave legislation and best practices.
  • Employee Communication: Serve as the primary contact for managers and employees regarding leave-related inquiries. Provide clear guidance and support throughout the leave process.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for all leave accommodations and workers' compensation requests, approvals, and denials. Collaborate with Third-party Leave Administrator to ensure accurate leave processing. Conduct audits with the Benefit team to ensure accurate benefit premiums and deductions.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze reports on leave statistics and trends for management review.
  • Training and Education: Develop and deliver training sessions for managers on leave policies and procedures. Maintain current forms and information on the company Benefit Hub.
  • Policy Implementation: Assist in developing and refining leave policies and procedures based on feedback and best practices.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with various teams to ensure seamless end-to-end leave processes, including employment status, record keeping, and system access.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in Leave Administration and/or Workers’ Compensation.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and auditing. Ability to learn new software systems.
