General Responsibilities: |
|
The Family Medicine Residency Behavioral Health Clinical Coordinator is an integral part of the FM Residency Program providing, clinical support and training to the FM Residents. As part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, the clinical coordinator will assist the FM residents through IBH support including warm hand-offs, screening utilizing evidence base tools, assessing, diagnosing, and providing brief treatment. The clinician will develop curriculum for the Residents building skills in a trauma informed, culturally responsive integrated treatment approach to patient care and communication. The clinician will participate in creating and supporting Resident wellness education and activities.
The clinician has advanced clinical and cultural competency expertise with diverse communities including knowledge of community resources and needs. The BH Clinician will be embedded in the FM care team for 15 hours a week and maintain a clinic schedule of 21(4 admin) hours/week.
