Touchmark in the West Hills, a Portland-based award-winning full-service retirement community in the hills of west Portland, is currently seeking the right person to join us as the full-time Lead Driver on our Transportation team.

 

$23.00 per hour DOE.

As our Lead Driver, you will enrich lives each day by transporting active, dynamic residents to appointments, shopping trips, lunches, and other outings in one of our four vehicles: a GMC Denali, a minivan, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, or a Ford Transit Connect. Your courteous and good-natured personality will add an extra degree of enjoyment to resident excursions, giving you the daily opportunity to be a positive presence in the lives of others! In this lead role, you will also create and manage the transportation staff schedules, oversee the regular maintenance of the transportation vehicles, and assist with other duties such as setting up for events, picking up supplies, or delivering flowers and packages.

 

The ideal candidate will:

 

  • Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers!
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be able to provide an annual DMV driving record with favorable results.
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification upon hire.
  • Enjoy working with seniors, being part of a Resident Services team, and promoting a full, energetic lifestyle.
  • Be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors.
