We are currently looking to hire a full-time Manager of Employment Community Integration Programs. The primary responsibility is to lead the team that delivers person centered care and services that enable the employment of the People We Service (PWS) with employment development and services. Responsible for supervision of individuals’ supports, maintenance of assigned programs and implementation of Individual Plans for Employment through employment services and development residential setting to fulfill our purpose for existing “We believe the world shines brighter when people with developmental disabilities achieve their full potential.

Requirements:

  • High School Degree.
  • Two to three years of previous experience in a work position, volunteer/community role, or educational setting that focuses on serving and helping others.
  • Two to three years of previous leadership experience.
  • Experience in Therap preferred but not required.
  • Driver’s License in good standing.
  • Ability to pass a State Background Check.

Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with operational leaders, human resources, quality, and nursing: welcome, onboard, and train and mentor new colleagues on the team and identify additional training and development needs for all staff as part of Quarterly Connections.
  • Demonstrates positive leadership behaviors leading the way through individual behavior.
  • In collaboration with operational leaders and colleagues, ensure standard AbleLight operating procedures and any related state and local regulations and expectations are implemented consistently across the homes in your area of accountability.
  • Be the resource for any DSP /Lead DSP colleague, person we support, or parent & guardian in the home if local home efforts to resolve a topic are not successful.
  • Bring recommendations forward related to quality and process improvements for our employees and those we serve to enhance standard operating.
  • Complete all individual training and development required by local, state, federal and AbleLight policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a strong and collaborative working partnership with all colleagues, leadership, PWS, and parents & guardians with a focus on budget and metrics to positively influence the program, grow residential services and to achieve our balanced scorecard results.
  • Ensures opportunities to build social capital are planned, and occur, assist everyone in creating natural support networks in the employment setting.
  • Coordinate, implement and participate in job developer/employment specialist and job coach training and in-services by orienting new staff, scheduling staff for trainings and maintaining training records.
  • Represent the organization and its mission by educating community members about the critical importance of integrating individuals supported into community employment.
  • Manages, and implements program budgets; provides input for budget development; ensures programs stay within allocated budget, follows two policies and procedures for procurement. Ensures financial records are complete, thorough, and submitted in a timely manner. Maintains accurate data and processes that meet all Division of Vocational Rehabilitation’s billing requirements. This includes creating monthly reports for each service and each individual. With billing cover sheet, monthly progress reports, and documentation review and signoff.
