The Retail - Store Associate performs all tasks involved in the operations of the Fish Friday retail store.  This includes but is not limited to packing orders, distributing orders, as well as helping customers by creating a seamless, positive customer experience.  The ideal candidate will be a motivated and customer-focused individual who has a positive attitude who can support store operations.  Fish Friday is a Friday only, pop-up retail store created at our HQ in Brooklyn, NY. 

 

 

What You Will Do At Acme:

  • Assist in the packing of retail orders for Fish Friday distribution.
  • Operate Clover POS, process transactions, and handle customer payments accurately.
  • Read order tickets and interpret customer notes to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Maintain awareness of product levels during order fulfillment and notify the appropriate individual as stock depletes.
  • Properly notate when product is pulled from Acme Brooklyn inventory for retail use.
  • Assist customers in curbside pickup of retail order.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties of Fish Friday as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

About You

 

Your Education & Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in retail, customer service or food handling is preferred.
  • Experience working with POS systems (all orders are cashless, experience counting and making change is not required).
  • 1-3 years in manufacturing setting helpful but not required.


Your Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills for handling inventory levels.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required including standard of work.

Physical Requirements: 

  • The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, or legs to perform job tasks. 
  • Must be able to reach above and below shoulder height to move product.  This includes the ability to move throughout all areas of the facility.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
  • The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups.
  • The ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job duties.
  • The ability to work in cold (-10 to 45*F) and wet environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.


Health & Safety Requirements:
 

  • Observe and follow all safety rules.
  • Wear required PPE.
  • Follow mandated OSHA regulations.
  • Report all incidents including near misses immediately.
