The Senior People Team Generalist will provide operational support in all areas of human resources to ensure effective functioning of our Acme Florida location.  This role will be responsible for providing support to various HR programs, policies and initiatives while serving as a trusted advisor to employees and management.

 

What You Will Do At Acme:

  • Develop, review and/or update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies across the organization.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on policy interpretation and application.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Collaborate with manager to address employee grievances, conduct investigations, and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Support performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and coaching managers on performance-related matters.
  • Lead employee engagement team to promote positive employee relations initiatives.
  • Identify training needs and develop relevant programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Oversee the recruiting process for production associates, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition and providing necessary orientation and training.
  • Work with departmental managers/supervisors to ensure employees have adequate training and certifications.
  • Support employee career development initiatives and succession planning efforts.
  • Work with HRIS analyst to ensure employee records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Work with HRIS Analyst to generate HR reports and metrics for management, identifying trends and providing insights for decision-making.
  • Support audits, investigations, and legal matters related to HR.
  • Maintain compliance with data privacy and protection regulations.
  • Coach and mentor team members.

About You

 

Your Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • HR Certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) a plus.
  • 6+ years’ progressive experience in human resources roles, with a focus on HR generalist responsibilities.
  • Manufacturing and/or industrial experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual in (Spanish, Creole, Polish or Portuguese) a plus.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or prolonged periods of standing.
  • Work environment – office and production floor.
  • The ability to work in cold (32 to 45F) and wet environment.
  • Exposure to low level of noise on production floor.
  • Exposure to uneven ground and floor angles.
  • Stretching, bending, pulling, etc.

  • Report all incidents including near misses immediately.
