Production Associate

Production Associate is responsible for producing the finest smoked seafood products, meeting Acme's high-quality standards before being packaged and shipped to our customers. Every associate is expected to perform their jobs safely and efficiently, while working in accordance with our company's GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), Quality Assurance and Food Safety Programs. Every associate will perform work as assigned by the production manager / supervisor.

ABOUT YOU

Your Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Excellent work history.
• Previous manufacturing, production, especially food production experience.
  
  

Additional Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Specific lifting requirements vary by job function.
• Ability to work in wet and cold environment with temperatures between 0 - 50 degrees.
• Ability to climb stairs.
• Ability to stand for several hours.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with body, arms or legs to preform job tasks.
• Must be able to reach above and below shoulder height to move product.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Frequent hand motion.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times. Ability to work in temperatures in upper 30's(F) range with air flow from refrigeration units.
• Exposure to low level of noise due to close proximity to the work area.
• Exposure to uneven ground; floor angles toward the drainage systems.
• Light machinery operated in work area. 
  

Health & Safety Requirements:

• Observe and follow all safety rules.
• Wear required PPE.
• Follow mandated OSHA regulations.
• Report all incidents including near misses immediately.
