Monk provides visual expertise through Computer Vision and Deep Learning algorithms. Today, our AI model is able to detect and classify damage on any type of vehicle, from photos taken on a smartphone. We are building a word-class damage detection and computer vision service. We are looking for (people) with a data-centric approach to help us build the future of vehicle damage detection.

The Opportunity:

Monk provides visual expertise through Computer Vision and Deep Learning algorithms. Our AI is able to detect and classify damage on any vehicle, with photos taken by a smartphone. The company is already working with international leading players, such as our parent company ACV Auctions (USA), but also CAT logistics (Europe), Getaround (France), Autobiz (Europe) or Hgreg (Canada). We are building a word-class API-based damage detection system.

We are looking for a great R&D engineer with some experience in computer vision. The successful applicant will contribute to the performance of deep learning algorithms for damage detection on cars. For example, they will be working on object detection and segmentation. Come and join us to build the future of vehicle damage detection.

The Missions

As a R&D Computer Vision Engineer intern your missions will be :

  • Keep up with the SOTA in Computer Vision
  • Implement new algorithms following a research agenda
  • Help with the integration of the models in production
  • Document your progress properly

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge on mathematics, statistic and/or machine learning
  • Practical experience in python or a close functional programming language
  • Experience with deep learning algorithms for object detection and / or object segmentation
  • Team player
  • Ability to summarize and present information

Background

  • Bachelor or Master degree in an engineering school.
  • You have already worked on machine learning projects / Computer Vision (+++)
  • You are interested in the startup environment, and you are autonomous and proactive
  • Experience with agile methodology

Contract

  • Type of contract : Internship
  • Salary : 1550 € a month
