Quality Engineer I

Who we are looking for:

ACV Auctions is looking for an exceptional Quality Engineer to work alongside our Engineering team to solve complex problems within our testing environment. You will design and develop automated testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks. The ideal candidate possesses experience in developing and implementing automation testing frameworks for web apps, native Android and native iOS.

What you will do:

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts to ensure software quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design effective test strategies.
• Conduct manual and automated testing, identifying and resolving software defects.
• Design and maintain test frameworks and tools for efficient testing.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and perform performance testing.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring testability and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with product managers to understand user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Stay updated on industry trends, methodologies, and tools for continuous improvement.
• Document test plans, cases, and results, and contribute to agile development processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or proven equivalence.
• 0-3 years’ limited professional experience (internships or entry-level positions)
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Basic understanding of software development and testing concepts.
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
