Position Summary:

The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership is looking to hire 6 new AC2 Student Board Members. AC2 students must be dedicated to serving the greater student body via events and programming services provided through the Organization. AC2 members must be able to respect the needs of various student clubs and orgs planning fun and entertaining events for the student body throughout the year.  AC2 students will assist with planning, executing, hosting, and promoting events on campus.

 

This paid positing run for two semesters and consist of at least 10 hours per week as allowed by student’s schedule and programming demands. There is a possibility for this position to be extended beyond two semesters based on performance, availability and need from the office.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  1. Attend weekly Executive Board meetings
  2. Plan campus events each semester
  3. Secure funding through SGA
  4. Set up, run, and clean up all ac2 events
  5. Submit all event details onto aLink
  6. Manage the AC2 Instagram and email

 

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. 

 

The individual is routinely exposed to indoor conditions, minimum outdoor weather and temperature extremes, and moderate noise level.

 

Overall work environment is one of service where department strives to meet student needs. Education and leadership growth of the Intern is also valued and encouraged.

 

Qualifications/Prerequisites:

 

  1. SKILLS
    1. Well-developed oral and written communication skills
    2. Ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues and staff
    3. Skills in time-management and organization
    4. Ability to work independently
    5. Knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
    6. Confidentiality and discretion regarding departmental matters
    7. Attention to detail and deadlines
    8. Basic understanding of Albright Student Government Manual as it relates to club standing and operations
    9. General knowledge of ALink and experience with event creation and form submissions
    10. General knowledge of Albright related systems for room reservations and event set up
    11. Creativity in program creation, problem solving and designing materials

 

  1. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
    1. Some prior administrative work experience preferred but not required

 

  1. EDUCATION
    1. Minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.5
