Position Summary:

The Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) Intern will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the Fraternity and Sorority Life Office and population. Aiding the Director of Student Involvement and Leadership with larger initiatives in terms of policies, procedures, and programming.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Maintaining and updating the FSL Handbook
  2. Assisting the Panhellenic Council and Interfraternity Council with recruitment period
  3. Creation and management of marketing materials for the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership and the fraternities and sororities
  4. Learning and comprehension of fraternity and sorority guidelines/policies
  5. Promoting the FSL experience through a variety of initiatives
  6. Aid in managing the new member on-boarding and education for the office
  7. Scheduling of FSL President Meetings
  8. Communication with chapter presidents and members
  9. Planning and implementation of Greek Week
  10. Management of the FSL email and contact lists
  11. Serve on Student Government Association as the FSL Representative
  12. Serve on potential committees to advocate for the FSL community
  13. Providing one to two educational/developmental programs for the FSL community

The individual is routinely exposed to indoor conditions, minimum outdoor weather and temperature extremes, and moderate noise level.

 

Qualifications/Prerequisites:

 

  1. SKILLS
  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  2. Written and verbal communication skills
  3. Good organization and time management
  4. Event planning
  5. Knowledgeable in marketing and content creation (Canva, social media, Photoshop, Adobe, etc…)
  6. Socially adept and assertive, able to manage individuals, and work in a team
  7. Detail oriented
  8. General knowledge of Fraternity and Sorority Life

  2. Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA
