Position Summary:

Act as the point of contact for campers and chaperones in the residence halls after hours. Dorm monitors will also perform hall walkthroughs during the camp and assist with the check-out process on the final day of camp.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Communicate effectively with residential visitors to campus as well as Albright staff to resolve situations that may arise in residence halls during summer camps.
  2. Walk through residence hall floors to ensure that they are clean and that proper camps signage is still in place.
  3. Assist with camp checkout by checking dorm rooms after camp has vacated them for any damage, trash, or items left behind.

 

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job.  The individual is routinely exposed to indoor conditions, and moderate noise level.

 

Qualifications/Prerequisites:

  1. SKILLS
  1. Effective verbal and written communication with other students, faculty, staff and external campus visitors in a professional manner
  2. Knowledge of Campus

 

  1. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
  1. One to two years of on-campus employment in office or another environment
  2. Work with a diverse group and all age groups
  3. Similar customer service-oriented positions

 

  1. EDUCATION
  1. At least one full-time semester completed at Albright College
  2. Minimum GPA 2.80
