Position Summary:

Assure that all participants within the pool and pool area are safe and following pool rules.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  1. Surveying a body of water and conducting rescues to help weak or injured swimmers get to safety.
  2. Speaking with swimmers to enforce swimming rules.
  3. Keeping track of each swimmer in the water.
  4. Administering first aid to injured swimmers.
  5. Preventing and responding to emergencies.
  6. Staff member will be required to work at the front desk and within the fitness center.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job.

 

The individual is routinely exposed to indoor conditions, minimum outdoor weather and temperature extremes, and moderate noise level.

 

Qualifications/Prerequisites:

 

  1. SKILLS      
  1. Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
  2. CPR & First Aid Certification.
