Human Resources - HR Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Manager will provide strategic and hands-on full-cycle HR partnership for employees at the Firm’s Atlanta offices. S/he will play a critical role in executing the Firm’s people initiatives, placing and developing the right talent and helping to drive superior performance, as well as the Employee Communications and Engagement strategy.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partners with managers and supervisors to drive firm, department and employee performance.
- Coaches managers and supervisors on HR-related matters, including team leadership, employee engagement, employee relations and performance management.
- Undertakes initiatives to keep turnover below 30%, including enhanced employee engagement, supervisor and manager training on expectations and accountability and career path modeling.
- Develops and facilitates the Human Resources Employee Communications and Engagement strategy throughout the entire organization, including the Firm’s Employee Advisory Group (EAG).
- Leads and advises managers on employee relations matters, escalating to the Director of Human Resources, as necessary.
- Administers Human Resource policies and procedures.
- Leads talent acquisition process for all positions in conjunction with Recruiter, including interviews, selections and pay decisions; maintains a time-to-fill under 30 days.
- Conducts weekly New Hire Orientation.
- Collects and processes all new hire paperwork, new hire data entry and onboarding for all new employees; maintains accurate employee records.
- Manages annual performance review process.
- Conducts terminations and exit interviews.
- Fields general HR-related questions from employees.
- Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws.
- Assist with other duties and special projects as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required
- Working knowledge of Dayforce (Ceredian)
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an HR management role, preferably in a law firm or professional services organization
- HR systems experience required
- Extreme attention to detail
- Overall positive attitude and willingness to adapt to change
- Must possess good organizational skills
- Initiative and willingness to pitch in where needed
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of the HR team
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least two years of payroll processing or administration experience, preferably in an HR administrative role.
- MUST have experience in Dayforce/Ceredian
