Purpose

The Reaffirmation Specialist operates in a team environment to participate in borrower outreach for property retention.  The specialist is a communicator, who interacts with AP Attorneys, Debtor’s Attorneys, Debtors and Client agents. The Specialist prepares returned reaffirmation agreements for filing and files the executed agreements. They communicate with the courts and stay up to date on any district or court form changes. The Reaffirmation Specialist handles reaffirmation agreements from referral to filing, communicating with clients and following up with Debtors Attorneys.

 

Specific Duties, Activities and Responsibilities

A Reaffirmation Specialist is responsible to proactively manage the workload assigned from the Client management system.  A specialist must be able to balance a loan portfolio from start to finish.  Specific daily tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Call/Reprojection Inventory
  • Reaffirmation Drafting Inventory
  • Exception Follow Up Inventory
  • Voicemail Return
  • Outreach requirements- telephonic and electronic
  • Document Prep, Delivery, Review
  • Conduct rigorous analysis on returned agreements to ensure document accuracy and completion 
  • Provide support to management and attorneys
  • Pull, maintain and proactively work all internal reporting to stay compliant with SLAs.
  • Court filing
  • Special Projects

In today’s current legal environment, change is constant.  A Reaffirmation Processor must be able to easily adapt to changing legal/client requirements.  A processor must retain and apply new information related to escalated districts, loan requirements and deadline adjustments.

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum High School diploma.  
  • Bankruptcy or Mortgage Servicing experience preferred but not required 
  • Previous law firm experience is preferred but not required
