SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing Benefit Outsource provider to ensure efficient and accurate administration, processing and maintenance of employee benefit programs. Assists with M&A Preparation and Onboarding. Liaison between LOA outsource and employees. Monitors benefit trends to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws including HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA and FMLA. Provides audit and analysis support as needed in various benefit areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partners with Benefit Outsource provider and Account Executive to ensure employees receive timely and accurate responses to benefit questions, claims matters, and that issues are resolved with carriers.
• Resolves benefits issues escalated from Benefit Outsource partner.
• Oversees Benefits Outsource provider to ensure that enrollments, terminations, and changes for life status events are processed appropriately.
• Manages benefits system, includes responsibility to ensure feeds to benefit carriers are working correctly.
• Plans annual open enrollment meetings. Assists with creation of templates and presentations and communication materials. Delivers benefit presentations as applicable and benefit plan information and acts as subject matter expert.
• Ensures all new plan information and premiums are updated and current in benefit system.
• Ensures accurate communication of benefit program information for new hires and current participants through the creation and delivery of benefit orientations, carrier provided webinars and postings to benefit outsource partner at annual open enrollment and ongoing.
• Performs analysis on various benefit data, works on special projects/reporting as needed on adhoc basis.
• Assists with leave of absence program; Acts as a liaison to LOA outsource and the employee.
• Monitors benefit trends, sick and leave laws to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws including HIPAA, ERISA and FMLA.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;
Four (4) or more years related work experience;
CBP or CEBS Certification preferred.
