Sales Support and Development Specialist
JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Support and Development Specialist is responsible for providing sales support to the organization through the onboarding, recruiting and training of new agents and agencies, as well as the development of sales and marketing strategies and concepts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for onboarding and training new agents and agency partners on organization workflow, procedures and systems, as well as carrier relationships.
- Responsible for advancing sales, providing general sales support for sales staff and running illustrations.
- Acts as subject matter expert of products and systems.
- Provides sales support by advising agents/clients of specific carrier options and offerings.
- Interacts directly with carriers.
- Develops, analyzes, and reports on KPIs for affiliated agencies to track progress and performance.
- Contributes to the generation of new marketing strategies by keeping abreast of market and carrier product changes.
- Partners with agents to produce business and develop sales ideas/concepts.
- Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and local laws, wherein the Company operates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
High School Diploma (required)
Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) or more years related work experience
One (1) or more years minimum insurance industry experience
Group I Insurance license with Continuing Education requirements for renewal
Valid driver's license
SKILLS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation and counseling skills
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
