Summary

This role provides hands-on experience in implementing Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO) procedures, conducting Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and auditing Safety Data Sheets (SDSs). You will ensure adherence to essential safety protocols, contributing to streamlined operations and enhanced facility safety. Your insight will contribute to maintaining compliance and improving overall workplace safety standards.

Key Projects

Ensure all machinery has lock-out tag-out:

  • Construct precise work instructions detailing the correct implementation of Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO) procedures for all machinery, including Molding, CNC, A/Lathe, and Punch Press equipment.
  • Identifying the analyze energy sources utilized by machinery.

Audit jobs to have proper JSA:

  • Develop Job Safety Analysis for assembly department.
  • Confirm that all assembly jobs have completed and documented Job Safety Analyses.
  • Collaborate with the team to review and update JSAs as needed.

Track SDSs for all chemicals in the facility:

  • Conduct an audit to confirm that all chemicals used in the facility have up-to-date Safety Data Sheets.
  • Verify the presence and accuracy of SDSs for all chemicals.

Requirements

Education:

  • Must be pursuing a degree in Occupational health and Safety, Environmental Management, Risk Managements or related field.

Physical:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and reach overhead.
  • Must be able to lift to 25lbs occasionally.

Program Attendance:

  • May 19th- August 5th, 2025
