Accounting Quality Assurance Clerk

Description:

We are seeking an experienced professional who is highly organized and detail-oriented to join our team. As an Accounting Quality Assurance Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting files and control documentation. This position requires excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular reviews of accounting controls and processes to identify any discrepancies or errors.
  • Review any journal entries, account reconciliations, and schedules associated with controls. This will include all supporting documentation.
  • Identify areas where coaching/training measures are to be implemented to better achieve company quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify areas from process improvements and implement any necessary changes.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly/annual audits and provide support in providing requested items selected for testing.
  • Report any potential financial risks or irregularities identified during reviews to management.
  • Perform data analyst and generate reports to provide insight and recommendations for improving efficiency and job performance.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with executives and operating management.
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate and work well with team members, including executive and operational management, obtain cooperation, to get questions answered, and to obtain needed supporting documentation in a timely manner.

 

Duties:

  • Maintaining Accounting Quality Assurance email inbox. Ensuring the inbox is cleared out and organized daily in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring the customer relations management system used to retain data information is updated daily with accuracy.
  • Sending notifications to dealerships that are missing supporting documentation for accounting controls.
  • Generate summary reporting for any outstanding items to be communicated to management.
  • Attendance/facilitating monthly meetings with dealership managers to discuss general findings from reviews, communicate frequently asked questions, and mentions of any changes or additions to monthly matrix.
  • Perform a review of support from the dealerships during the month and complete a Quality Assurance Coaching form.
  • Attendance/facilitating meetings with individual dealerships to discuss the Quality Assurance Coaching form for training and feedback.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 plus years of dealership accounting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry accounting practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CDK is a plus.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Adobe, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
