Nalley Volkswagen is seeking an experienced Internal Technician to assist us with our used car inventory.

  • Functions as an experienced technician who can diagnose and repair all vehicle makes, models, and components with little supervision required. Has previously worked as a B or C-Class general service technician.
     

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Competently able to perform a thorough multipoint inspection on all makes and models.
  • Able to diagnose and communicate specified inspection requirements and recommendations as identified by the pre-owned department based on the inspection requirements.
  • Able to road test all vehicles as part of the diagnosis/inspection process.
  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Ensures proper repair order documentation, i.e., complaint, cause, and correction, is noted on every repair order with punch time for each operation.
  • Review job status frequently, log any changes in status, and report any change in time or cost estimates to the appropriate service advisor and/or customer.
  • Maintains an organized work-in process through the dealership software system.
  • Prepares estimates when required.
  • Diagnoses the cause of most malfunctions and performs repair.
  • Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Communicate with the internal service advisor/pre-owned manager/service management immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
  • Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  • Perform a quality multipoint inspection on every vehicle to include supporting documentation, i.e., photos/video.
  • Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
  • High school diploma or General Education degree (GED) in addition to 2+ years of related experience and/or training
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug.)
