Membership and Outreach Coordinator

BASIC HOURS:                  35 hours/week

SUPERVISOR:                   Director of Programming, Myerberg Center

DEPARTMENT:                 Aging in Community

STATUS:                            Exempt

Attend and assist with the annual meeting.  In addition, assist with at least one other agency event each fiscal year by volunteering to help plan, set up, clean up and/or staff a table

 

In this role you will:

  • Assists members with inquiries, center tours, service, registration, renewals and sales
  • Meets monthly membership, subscription and class enrollment goals
  • Ensures desk has all materials, training and tools needed to implement excellent customer service
  • Builds rapport with members and guests by communicating with referral contacts, potential members, existing members and former members to cultivate the warm and friendly atmosphere the center is known for
  • Plan and execute community and outreach events to attract new members
  • Collaborate with local businesses and organizations to enhance community engagement
  • Manage and maintain the membership database with accurate records
  • Work with marketing staff to promote membership, subscriptions and program participation
  • Provide monthly membership and outreach activity reports
  • Support the program director with hosting and implementing programming
  •  Ensures all members and visitors follow enhanced safety check-in procedures as needed Cover front desk and fitness center as needed
  • Start virtual zooms and upload virtual center videos as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred but not required
  • Experienced with customer service and meeting sales goals
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, community engagement, or a similar role
  • Supervision experience preferred
  • Experienced with various technology and social media platforms
  • Previous experience in event planning and execution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation & Benefits

$40,000 - $46,000, commensurate with experience
