SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Member and Guest Services, Owings Mills, the Weekend Member and Guest Services Representative is primarily responsible for delivering the highest quality of customer service to all members and guests at the JCC. This position is the primary point of contact to all prospective and current members and requires being responsive to members’ needs while possessing extensive knowledge of the JCC. They are responsible for being fully knowledgeable about the center and its programs/services, maintaining a welcoming warm attitude with members and potential members/guests, exemplify professionalism, and ensures we adhere to the values and mission of the JCC.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Runs the membership office on Saturdays and/or i.e., giving tours, selling memberships, and responding to membership inquiries in person, on the phone, and email.
  • Main point of contact for manager-on-duty related issues, ensuring they are handled professionally and in consultation with the appropriate department if necessary.
  • Maintains organization of the membership office supplies and paperwork.  Ensures desk is supplied with membership materials.
  • Participates in required training as necessary.
  • Maintains and enforces agency policies and procedures.
  • Partners with contracted security team to reinforce security procedures and make sure facility is safe and secure. 
  • Becomes proficient in Traction Rec and Traction Guest.
  • Promotes JCC programs and services.
  • Provides consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in relation to members' personal information.
  • Meets all JCC standards for professionalism in conduct and appearance.
  • Perform other duties as required or directed by the Assistant Director of Member and Guest Services, Owings Mills.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Customer centric attitude, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and kind demeanor.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills, communication skills, and the ability to think critically.
  • Effectively multitasks, operating both computer and phone simultaneously.
  • Displays interest in learning new processes and skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Previous sales experience preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary (or Salary Range): $16.00/hour
