SUMMARY: 

 

4Front is seeking a motivated and organized Part-Time Program Assistant to support our full-time Program Coordinator in running our Jewish teen entrepreneurship program, the Social Innovation Fellowship. The Program Assistant will attend all program meetings and experiences to serve as supportive second staff, as well as assist with administrative tasks, program planning, participant engagement, and other duties to ensure the program's success. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for entrepreneurship and an interest in helping Jewish high-schoolers learn and grow.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Administrative Support: Assist the program coordinator with administrative tasks, including managing schedules, communication with teens, and mentors. 
  • Event Support: Assist with the planning and attend all program events and workshops, including set up and clean up, and an NYC overnight trip.
    • Program dates are as follows:
      • Orientation - Oct 9, 5pm-7pm
      • Program Kickoff - Nov 10, 2:30pm-5:30pm
      • Innovation Boot Camp:  Nov 24, 9am-5pm
      • Workshops - Dec 8, Jan 5, Feb 2, Feb 23, Mar 9, approximate time is 2:30pm-6:30pm
      • NYC Overnight:  January 19-20
      • Demo Day Pitch Event - April 6, 3-6pm
    • Program meetings take place around the Greater Baltimore region, most often in Owings Mills, MD
  • Participant Engagement: Communicate with program participants, providing them with information, updates, and support during and between workshops. 
  • Marketing and Outreach: Assist in creating and distributing promotional materials. 
  • Data Entry: Assist with data entry and maintaining participant records.
  • Creative Input: Provide creative ideas and input for program development and improvement. 
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Take on additional tasks and responsibilities to support the program coordinator and ensure the program's success.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Background or Passion for Entrepreneurship: Demonstrated experience or learning in entrepreneurship, business, or startups. 
  • Respect of Jewish Values: Willing to understand Jewish culture, traditions, and values. 
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and social media platforms. 
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. 
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, mainly evenings and weekends as needed. 
  • Position will require successfully passing a fingerprint and background check prior to working with minors 

 

Time Commitment and Compensation:

This position will work approximately 20 hours/month, including at least one 4-hour workshop or event per month. This is a mostly in-person position with potential for remote hours and includes Sunday and evening programs.

  • Program meetings typically take place on Sundays once-a-month from October-April in the Greater Baltimore area.  
  • In-person attendance at all program events is required.
  • Potential for remote hours in-between sessions coordinated in collaboration with the program coordinator.

 

This position will receive an hourly rate of $20/hr  

 

PHYSICAL SKILLS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to spend time sitting and using a computer, laptop or phone.   The employee may also be required to frequently be on their feet for periods of time.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

The work environment may be fast paced and requires high energy and interaction with others.  The workspace may be noisy, at times.
