At Jewish Community Services, we are seeking an enthusiastic Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and provide comprehensive mental health treatment to our esteemed clients primarily through telehealth services, ensuring accessibility and convenience for all. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to meet with clients in person periodically to ensure the highest level of care and support.

 Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial evaluations and follow-up medication management visits for clients aged 16 and above, tailoring treatments to their unique needs.
  • Diagnose psychiatric disorders and mental health conditions, utilizing your expertise to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Assess clients for safety and monitor their behavior to formulate accurate diagnoses and evaluate treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain meticulous records of client sessions, progress notes, recommendations, and other essential elements in our clinical notes Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with our administrative team to complete client-related paperwork, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, conflict resolution abilities, and sound judgment when making decisions that impact agency operations.
  • Provide strategic input and contribute to the overall success of our mental health services, continually enhancing our approach to meet evolving client needs.

 Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience in the field of mental health.
  • Unrestricted license enabling you to fulfill the full scope of practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Maryland.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage a hybrid work environment, being present in the office when required.
  • Proficient in utilizing telehealth technologies and electronic medical records systems.
