Program Director - Family Support - Family Support Services

Requirements for the position:
  • Responsible for the day to day operations of the Family Support Program and Center. 
  • Supervises and supports program staff through weekly supervision, staff meetings, direct observation and periodic written evaluations. 
  • Provides for crisis prevention and intervention with families as needed. 
  • Assists in the development and administration of policies and procedures for the program. 
  • Oversees and ensures clinical and programmatic documentation is completed within accordance with Bay Cove Human Services and DDS standards. 
  • Ensures that agency and regulatory standards are met and maintained, including agency QA audits, CARF, DDS Licensing, DDS Family Support reports etc. 
  • Oversees Fiscal management of all allocations including required reporting and maintaining of fiscal information. 
  • Manages Family Support application (BAYCIS) and act as liaison between the program and information services. 
  • Reviews and maintain all expenditure plans and personal budgets for families, and review all check and mileage requests prior to submission- in accordance with determining if allocated funds have been spent according to policy. 
  • Monitors and submits monthly service delivery reports and billing. 
  • Collaborates with accounting to ensure accuracy and compliance between contracts and FS expenditure plans and spending / services rendered.
  • Work with accounting, Director and DDS to monitor FS contracts and budgets. Process all FS authorizations for service as well as amendments.
  • BA/BS in Psychology or related field preferred and two years previous work experience in human service setting. 
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience. 
  • Use of personal cellular telephone for work communication. Bilingual in English and Cape Verdean, Creole, Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin or Vietnamese preferred but not required. 
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, personal maturity, common sense and good judgment. 
  • Demonstrated organizational, clinical, and professional writing skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work within complex housing, shelter, psychiatric and medical systems. 
  • Ability to work with others in a manner that promotes teamwork, cooperation and community integration. 
  • Demonstrated capacity to work with people with disabilities in a manner that promotes their dignity, safety and growth.
