Eagle Health Analytics (EHA), LLC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant  to assist in the Emergency Room Department at Madigan Army Medical Center.

 
Supervised by: COR and/or their designee
 
Education: Completion of a certified training program for Certified Nursing Assistants.
 
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Have and maintain a current unrestricted certification for Certified Nursing Assistant. A nursing assistant that has acquired government –sponsored developmental training and served in the Armed Forces for at least one year may be accepted in lieu of a certified nursing assistant with the approval of the COR. A waiver may be granted by the COR if a candidate does not have the required experience. All certification renewals shall be submitted to the MTF credentialing office as appropriate. Failure to do so is grounds for dismissal. All HCPs must possess and maintain current course completion documentation for basic life support (BLS) through an approved training program. BLS shall be renewed every two years.
 
Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in the past two years as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
 
Specific Duties/Tasks:
 
Certified Nursing Assistants providing services under this contract shall perform the same clinical duties as those required of any military or government civil service CNA of similar experience. The CNA technicians shall perform the following functions, within the scope of accepted practice. This list of duties is not intended to establish either a maximum or minimum acceptable level of effort or be an inclusive listing of anticipated duties. Workload includes either scheduled or emergency requirements for care according to standards.

The certified nursing assistant shall:
Provide age-specific care based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) applicable to the inpatient wards or ambulatory clinics; specific health care provider’s orders; the physical, mental and emotional needs of the patient; and the policies and procedures of the MTF. Perform vital sign checks, note deviations, report to team leader, and ensure proper documentation. Provides for the safety, hygiene, personal care, activities of daily living, exercise, and turning and repositioning of patients.

Clean and restock procedure and patient rooms with supplies forms and linen, dispose of trash and soiled linen, supplies, and equipment. Assist primary care provider with patient examinations. Set up examination room, assist the patient with disrobing/dressing based on the level of assistance required, drape and position patient appropriately based on the type of examination and chaperone as necessary. Set up and assist primary care provider in specimen collection, label and document appropriate patient information prior to transporting specimen to lab for processing. Observe patients for distress or changes in condition and report abnormalities to team leader or other senior nursing/medical personnel. Perform or assist with minor, acute, and routine primary care tasks in the inpatient setting or ambulatory clinics in accordance with SOPs and training rendered under the supervision of a physician, nurse, nurse practitioner or other assigned personnel.
 
Document observations, care given, and patient’s response in the medical record and under the supervision of the RN or LPN. Communicate pertinent patient data to nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistants or physician as appropriate and complete tasks assigned by the RN or LPN. Transport patients to other units or departments assuring safe transportation of the patient. Screen patients prior to transport to ensure preoperative medications have been given by the nurse, and that all jewelry and prosthetic devices have been removed. Assist with admission and discharge of patients. Assist with administrative tasks to include answering the phone.
 
The contractor shall ensure that all contract HCPs providing services under this contract shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with all parties and other health care providers. In addition, if the position requires the use of computers, the contract HCPs shall be computer literate. The contract HCPs shall possess sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that he/she can relate constructively to a variety of patients from diverse backgrounds. The contract HCPs shall have the required education, training, experience and documented current competence in the required specialty position description. Life support training. All contract HCPs must possess and maintain current course completion documentation for basic cardiac life support (BLS) through an American Heart Association approved training program. Additional requirements will be outlined in technical exhibits per specialty. All contract HCPs shall maintain all license and certification requirements and meet all continuing education requirements of the U.S. jurisdiction in which they are licensed to practice.
