We are currently looking for a Legal Secretary for our Houston, TX office.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Legal and Regulatory departments.  Primary duties include the following:  review and submit timesheets, maintain department office supplies, route invoices for approval, prepare expense and reimbursement reports, distribute mail, assist in department budget monitoring, and schedule meetings/conference rooms/travel arrangements.  This position will also provide administrative support for regulatory filings, weekly reports, and correspondence.  Other administrative duties include typing, copying, maintaining department files, and preparing/proofreading correspondence. 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • A minimum of 5 years administrative experience
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly professional with a strong customer focus
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, MS Teams, and SharePoint
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize tasks, work independently, and communicate data/information to the appropriate people
  • Ability to work well with a variety of people, excellent teamwork skills, a positive attitude and a high-level of integrity and confidentiality

 

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Experience in a corporate legal department or law firm
  • Experience with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) filings, compiling multiple file types into Adobe for FERC filings, and maintaining copies on internal file structures/servers

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

 

PREFFERED EDUCATION”

 

  • Some college coursework
