We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/ Field Technician/ Sr. Field Technician for our Kenton, TN office.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for Pipeline and Compressor Station operations in the Kenton, TN district. Individual will be required to operate the station including reciprocating engines and turbine horsepower, auxiliary equipment and other equipment in the Kenton, TN district, as well as other assigned work. Required to learn all station functions proficiently and operate the station assets and pipeline facilities. Required to handle encroachment activities including performing pipeline locates, inspection and interaction with excavators. May be required to take the lead on jobs and direct the actions of others. Will be expected to participate in the on-call duties of the area and respond to “call-outs”. Shall demonstrate an ongoing proficiency in leadership and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities also include compliance documentation for assigned area and the successful completion of all the Operator Qualification tasks assigned specifically for this position.

 

This position will be located at our Kenton, TN Compressor Station and will operate in a scheduled rotation. Normal work hours for this position are 6:00a.m. – 2:30p.m. weekdays; however, this position is subject to occasional call-out and schedule adjustments, as necessary.

 

This position's primary area of responsibility will be at our Kenton, TN Compressor Station and successful candidate will be required to reside within 30 miles of this facility.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Individual must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills and a strong ability for prioritizing and scheduling multiple projects. 
  • This individual should also have experience with Microsoft programs as well as the ability to read, comprehend, and follow Company procedures and manufacturers guidelines. 
  • Physical requirements of the role include the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet in order to transfer tools and equipment, the ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns, and the ability to work alone as required in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments. 
  • Valid Driver’s license with safe driving record is required, and the ability to operate an all-terrain vehicle.
  • Must have a strong commitment to Personal and Team safety.

  • Mechanical experience
  • Electrical experience

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

 

  • High School Diploma

 

PREFERRED  EDUCATION:

 

  • Technical School or College
