CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.

 

We’re seeking a Licensed Counselors (Associate or Independently Licensed) for our multiple locations throughout Arizona.

The Licensed Counselor will work as part of the clinical team dedicated to behavioral health and substance use. As Licensed Counselor, you are responsible for ensuring, with the assistance of other treatment team members, that each participant is provided the services necessary to achieve the goals of treatment as outlined in their individualized treatment plan.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates groups, individual, and/or family counseling as assigned, adhering to best practices models and curricula set forth for each specific treatment modality.
  • Ensures that participants receive treatment (group, individual, and family) services in a language and format that they can understand.
  • Ensures that the treatment delivered (group, individual, and family) is appropriate to any special needs identified during the initial assessment or during the treatment process including the participant’s age, gender, and culture.
  • Ensures that treatment received (group, individual, and family) is based upon the needs and service frequencies identified and is in line with the goals outlined in the treatment plan. When this does not occur, ensures that barriers are addressed with the person served and treatment plans are updated when indicated.
  • Familiarizes self with initial treatment plan for each participant who is assigned to their care, paying close attention to all identified needs and objectives and target dates for completion.
  • Addresses needs and objectives of each participant’s treatment plan in group, individual, and/or family counseling and education sessions and documents progress made towards objectives and/or areas of needed improvement and a plan of action to achieve improvement.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in a field related to behavioral health required. (The exception of those who were licensed prior to 2004 but are currently licensed independently is acceptable).
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working with the Adolescent Population preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working with the Substance Abuse population preferred.
  • Licensure at the associate or independent level with The Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as Psychologist, Social worker, Counselor, Marriage and family therapist or Substance Abuse Counselor required
