About This Opportunity

We are seeking an Administrative Program Specialist (Lighting/On-bill Financing Specialist) to support the administration of programs providing incentive funding and financing for energy efficiency projects. Working within a program-specific team, the key role of a Program Specialist is to support the team’s processes that drive energy savings for our utility clients and their customers. This includes project tracking, scheduling, performing quality control reviews, populating energy savings and rebate calculators, drafting reports, and writing proposals. This position also provides ongoing customer service support to program participants and the vendors selling energy efficient equipment.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Providing overall general administrative support to the program team.
  • Using program-specific tools, such as calculators and forms, and help both internal and external customers use and troubleshoot the use of program-specific tools.
  • Using program-specific software programs, such as SharePoint, Ajera, and Gazebo, to support team tracking and reporting needs. Ensure accurate project status, auditable records and documentation, and that projects are proceeding as planned.
  • Managing program-related data entry and file management needs into programs such as Gazebo, SharePoint and customer specific reporting tools.
  • Processing program-specific paperwork, such as incentive and financing applications. Confirm accuracy of information, reaching out to customers, vendors, and program staff as needed.
  • Effectively communicating with program participants and their vendors in a variety of roles to collect necessary project information.
  • Managing project pipelines to advance projects, monitor project expenses, forecast savings, and assist the team in hitting overall program goals.
  • Performing administrative quality checks of reports, presentations, memos, collateral, and other program-specific documents. Ensure all program requirements plus formatting/branding guidelines are met.
  • Preparing routine reports for both internal and external customers. This may involve running reports from program-specific software, analyzing data for accuracy and completeness, reconciling inconsistencies, reaching out to others for highlights/updates, and inserting exported information into report templates.
  • Supporting the coordination and planning of meetings, events, webinars, conference calls, etc. Record and publish meeting minutes upon request.

 

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Location may be fully remote in any location/state that we are already registered or based in one of Cascade Energy’s existing offices. The team and program will operate in the Pacific Time Zone. Minimal travel is anticipated for this role.

Qualifications

Applicants for this role are required to have:

  • Associate degree (or significant coursework completed), or equivalent combination of experience and education, with preference for business administration, project management or similar area of study.
  • Minimum of three years or more of work experience in a technically focused, customer service role.
  • Previous experience managing multiple customers and programs across multiple locations.
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills, including comfort with spreadsheets and data management.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proactive communication that drives action and keeps stakeholders informed.

 

A successful candidate should also demonstrate these preferred characteristics and/or skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
  • Experience in the energy industry or familiarity with energy codes preferred
  • Project or program management experience, driving inputs from multiple parties to achieve deadlines

Compensation & Benefits

Our total rewards include competitive pay and excellent benefits. These include health (90% paid for team member, 70% paid for dependents on HDHP plans and 85% paid for team member, 65% paid for dependents on PPO plans),  vision, FSA or HSA options with an employer contribution, life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, paid parental leave, 401k retirement plan with a guaranteed 3% contribution, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), annual cash performance bonus, paid vacation, sick time, and an inclusive, flexible paid holiday policy. The salary range for this position is a wide range as we are open to anyone between a Program Specialist II and Sr. Program Specialist I. The posted range, based in Portland OR is $59,500 to $79,800/per year. However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences and the geographic location of the candidate.
