In this role you will:

Make recommendations for community-based services indicated by the level of care neededKeep statistics of clients served as part of a monthly progress report for ACSTo help interpret results of alcohol/drug screenings conducted by EDNY or other service providersParticipate in Family Team Meetings and Child Safety Conferences to assist ACS workers with engagement of ambivalent clients.Perform training for child welfare staff to teach red flags of drug use and abuse. Trainings will be focused on teaching ACS workers about the progressive nature of addiction as well as the impact of drug use and abuse on parent’s capacity to parent/function.  To teach the impact of substance abuse on familial homeostasis and how this disruption may manifest negatively in the emotional, social and academic wellbeing of the child(ren).Performs other related duties as assigned. Occasional field visits when necessary to assist with engaging clients.

  • None

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • CASAC II with at least three years of experience. Experience with working with ACS and persons with co-occurring disorders preferred.
  • Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
  • Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multi-task.
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent engagement skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to understand, respect and work in a host environment
  • Word, excel, power point skills required.

Required education:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • BA preferred
