Summary:

The Family Case Aid for the School-based Early Support (Prevention) Program plays a crucial role in providing additional casework support to the Family Coordinators. This position is responsible for assisting with various tasks related to case management, family support, and program coordination to ensure the successful implementation of prevention services within the school community.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist Family Coordinators in conducting assessments, developing service plans, and monitoring progress for families enrolled in the prevention program.
  • Provide logistical support, assist and facilitate parent/caregiver in groups, workshops or other events or needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date notes in system. Proper documentation skills are required. Reporting and strong administrative skills.
  • Provide assistances with community resources related to housing, healthcare, education and basic needs.
  • Preform other related duties needed as assigned.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year of relevant work in child welfare or social services or life experience; OR Successful completion of an Administration for Children’s Services-funded prevention services program or similar program; OR A high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse social, economic, and cultural groups.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. 
  • Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.
  • Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multi-task.
