As a member of the Human Resources team, the HR and Benefits Coordinator is responsible for supporting a variety of HR functions, with a primary focus of onboarding, offboarding, and employee benefits.  In this position you must have outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.  An HR and Benefits coordinator is expected to be a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and time management skills. You will have excellent administrative and IT skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
  • Maintain copies of employees' records.
  • Assist with onboarding duties of all new hires.
  • Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
  • Assist with offboarding processes and documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment for new employees and manage changes for existing employees.
  • Conduct benefits orientation and explain benefits self-enrollment system.
  • Assist with the administration of leaves of absence and disability programs.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on benefits and HR metrics as required.
  • Support other assigned functions.
  • Stay updated with the latest HR trends and best practices.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as an HR coordinator.
  • Bilingual—English and Spanish, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS, Ceridian Dayforce experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state regulations related to employee benefits.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
