Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, or other financial activities within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the fixed asset accounting process
- Manage the lease accounting process
- Prepare and file personal property and business taxes
- Assist Controller with international/multi-currency accounting of subsidiary
- Reconcile General ledger accounts as part of the monthly close process
- Calculate and post monthly journal entries
- Cross trained as back up for sales tax collection and remittance processes
- Cross trained as back up for cash reconciliations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting
- Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent judgment and utmost integrity
- Must be a proactive professional, able to prioritize, multi-task and manage time efficiently
- Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing deadlines & priorities
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and utmost confidentiality at all times
- International/multi-currency experience is a plus
- Must exhibit proficient computer skills utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite of software with working knowledge Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains preferred
