Coke Florida is searching for an Area Sales Manager - Business Development to work the South Florida market.

 

What You Will Do:  

As an Area Sales Manager, you will have full responsibility for New Business Development in assigned geographies including Local and Regional account opportunities. You will be responsible for identifying and developing core talent within your direct District Sales Management team as well as with their business development managers. In addition, you would be responsible to help the team achieve desired new business development goals.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:  
 

Field Sales Execution

  • The Area Sales Manager will have full responsibility for New Business Development in all local, regional account opportunities in the assigned geographies.
  • Responsible for the execution of all business development goals and priorities and initiatives
  • Ensure value creation is occurring with all Customers
  • Ensure the sales and leadership teams follow the selling and relationship principles within collaborating and negotiating for value
  • Ensure teams are successfully prospecting in their assigned geographies and following up on prospect opportunities on a daily basis.


People Management

  • Responsible for identifying and developing core talent, including stewardship of the Talent Management Review at the DSM and Business Development Manager positions.
  • Coach and develop the team of direct reports while ensuring a culture of learning and development exists throughout the selling organization
  • Ensure the entire team understands and uses all tools, technology and capabilities to create a competitive difference to win in the market


Customer Management

  • Responsible for relationships with accounts serving as the initial connection point with customers in the market and liaison with customers and internal partners
  • Responsible to develop key relationships for new business networking with community business partners to include FRLA and Distributor partners.
  • Accountable for selling in and adherence to category marketing agreements. Provide feedback to the Coke Florida Customer Management teams where support and partnership is needed.


Supply Chain

  • Drives collaboration between supply chain and field sales execution including sales / delivery route planning.
  • Serves as key enabler for Supply Chain initiatives
    • Commercial Leadership
    • Execute and fulfill all channel, package and pricing plans provided by the Commercial Leadership COE
    • Provide a feedback loop to the Business Development Director on marketplace conditions (includes competition, channel plans, pricing architecture)

 

For this role, you will need:  

  • Education, BS/BA (or equivalent), Masters preferred
  • 5+ years of sales management experience leading a sales team.
  • Preference 2+years experience leading people leaders
  • Direct Store Delivery (DSD) and Beverage category experience highly desired
  • Individual must reside in the South Florida Market
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.


The ideal candidate will be a proven CPG sales leader dealing directly with Operations VPs. Contract selling experience is highly desired. Importantly, from a style and culture perspective, this person will be passionate and positive, results-oriented, collaborative, self motivated, and have a strong work ethic. He/she will also be a proven leader who is able to effectively lead and motivate his/her direct team while also building relationships and working effectively in a matrixed organization. Finally, this person will be a change agent who thrives in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
