General Description

 

Assist in the continued development and operation of the assigned department daily operation.  This role will be responsible for completing daily orders, training, and QC.  The Lead Inventory Management Technician is responsible for the organization and maintenance of the Inventory Management Cage.  The position assists the production staff by providing them with the product necessary to complete their work.

 

The overall responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with the Company Safety Policy
  • Subject matter expert on equipment inventory process.
  • Troubleshoot inventory count issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of staff.
  • Receive product as needed.
  • Count and separate product.
  • Organize workspace as needed.
  • Perform data entry on company computer system.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Assist in preparing product for inventories.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations/suggestions to make the Inventory Management process a more efficient operation.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

skills Desired

  • 6 months experience in shipping, receiving and inventory control.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack, forklift experience a plus.
  • Moderate computer skills.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal efficiently with all business contacts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, twist, reach, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

education requirements

High School Graduate or GED, or

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities.
