General Description / Job Summary:

 

As a Cardinal Equipment Service Manager, you will be leading field service operations with responsibility of overseeing mechanical service, installation, and delivery of various equipment types. This will include, but not limited to, reactive mechanical service, preventative maintenance, planned installation and removal.

This position will require flexibility to work various schedules and travel with overnight lodging likely.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  

Responsible for leading the Field Service Operations team that is task to meet our customer's expectations for equipment activities while achieving service levels that meet or exceed Cardinal Equipment Service objectives for timeliness, quality, and profitable growth.

  • Teams consist of Field Technicians, Equipment Installers, and Inventory Control Management (Parts/Equipment), Dispatch and Planning.
  • Ensure teams are scheduled to achieve billable objectives.
  • Ensure teams are properly equipped with tools, supplies, and parts to perform work in the most efficient manner keeping “Safety First” as a top priority.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure alignment, effectiveness, and efficiency of department operations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain critical relationships in the industry.
  • Financially responsible for Field Service performance. (P&L, etc.)
  • Perform (or schedule) employee training to ensure employee skill levels meet the need of assigned task.
  • Direct customer interface.
  • Participate in meetings to evaluate service level performance and represent field execution capabilities.
  • Ensure DOT and EPA compliance requirements are achieved.

 

Desired Work Experience:

  • At least 4 years leadership experience
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives with teams.
  • Must be a positive people leader with a demonstrated ability to drive results.
  • Proven ability to effectively problem-solve to meet customer needs and contract demands.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and to effect change and improvement.
  • Must support and directly influence team towards Cardinal Equipment Service goals and objectives.
  • Knowledgeable to generate quotes for potential business opportunities.

Education Requirements:

  • B.S. or B.A. Degree or equivalent experience

Desired Trade Experience:

  • Computer skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Project planning preferred
  • DOT and EPA knowledge.
  • North America Operating Unit  (NAOU) interface system - Thirsty
  • Soft drink, draught beer, frozen and hot beverage mechanical service
  • Basic plumbing and electrical
  • Ice Maker
  • Water Filtration

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Driver license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines
  • Computer skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Project planning preferred
