Software Engineer $90,000 annual

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Software Engineer to be part of a team to develop integrations, tools, prototypes, and embedded applications for in-house use at the largest card room in the world, Commerce Casino. In addition to job duties related to software development, a large portion of the job will require hands-on repair and maintenance of embedded devices on casino tables.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Software Development to write back-end scripts and front end web user interfaces
2. Maintenance, repair, installation, and removal of hardware from gaming tables on the casino floor.
3. Requirements gathering by interacting with end users from other departments.
4. Software application specification writing
5. Unit test implementation for software
6. Provide training for end users for tools and applications.
7. Maintenance of 3D printing and overseeing of 3D printer farm.
8. Basic soldering, crimping, and low voltage electrical work for prototyping.
9. Other duties related to prototyping of software and hardware.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS Computer Science or industry experience equivalent
• Prior experience servicing Casino Gaming Tables
• Linux terminal experience
• Python
• Pandas
• SQL
• Excel
• HTML / CSS / JavaScript
• Understanding of Networking, Ports, and IP Addresses

Work Experience / Education:

• Undergraduate education in data science, computer science, statistics, business, sciences, or equivalent relatable combination of work experience and certification.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Arduino experience or equivalent embedded experience
• AutoCAD and 3D printing software

Commerce Casino operates 24 hours, 7 days a week.  Schedule may vary depending on business needs.
