Warehouse Supervisor

New Facility Opening! Will be seeking 1st and 2nd shift Warehouse Supervisors as part of the launch. Client will be doing work with the United States Postal Service to sort through undelivered mail.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coach team leaders.
• Manage, evaluate, and report on warehouse performance vs established metrics.
• Coordinate daily workload across available resources.
• Maintain records and documentation, and report relevant information.
• Be a visible and active presence on the floor.
• Ensure all processes and rules are followed.
• Ensure effective training of new employees, retraining of old (if required) and cross training to allow for a flexible workforce and opportunities for advancement.
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and positive work environment and PIT operation.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination across the operation and with the customer.
• Maintain throughput by monitoring the process; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; facilitating root cause analysis activities to failures within the process and report findings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Previous warehouse and PIT experience needed
• Previous supervisory experience desired
• Good computer skills including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
• Positive attitude
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to develop and implement processes and procedures
• Ability to demonstrate full understanding of production flow process
• Communication, instruction, and leadership skills to direct the work of others
• Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions in English
