POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a bi-lingual Training Supervisor. The Training Supervisor plays a pivotal role in helping us to ensure a culture of learning, productivity, and safety for the time. The Training Supervisor will work with a diverse workforce including many non-native English speakers on day-to-day training needs, including new job training and safety. They are also responsible for certifying PIT operators to company standards.  The Training Supervisor will have opportunities to develop skills and contribute to company-side training content/delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to play a key role in creating a positive, productive, and safe work environment.

  • Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices.
  • Supports the operations teams by providing training for employees and coordinating training schedules
  • Must be able to be flexible to meet the needs of the operation with possible overtime, split shifts, and/or weekends

 

Key Accountabilities - tRAINING SUPERVISOR: 

  • Deliver new hire training
  • Train on safety, processes, work instructions, and standard operation procedures to key personnel
  • Create and lead training classes. Adapt corporate training for this site/operation
  • Train and certify PIT operators and maintain active certifications
  • Train on the production floor and in a classroom setting
  • Proctor and grade exams.
  • Follow up with supervisors and managers on trainees’ on-the-job performance
  • Help implement new training procedures according to training needs
  • Motivate employees on the floor to encourage them with their job functions to increase efficiency.
  • Trainer must keep themselves up to date with the latest information in the domain they are teaching.
  • Maintain accurate training records.
  • Help and improve training manuals and documentation
  • Perform on-the-floor evaluations and employee audits
  • Participate in required train-the-trainer forklift class and extra learning
  • Utilize a variety of training methods, techniques, concepts, learning tools and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programs.
  • Through personal actions, demonstrate Hollingsworth values and competencies

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - TRAINING SUPERVISOR: 

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and teaching
    • English and Spanish
    • Informative and persuasive
    • Floor level and management
  • Comfort asking questions and making suggestions
  • Leadership skills with the ability to take charge of a given situation
  • Presentation skills with the ability to adapt in the classroom
  • Strong conflict resolution, people, and customer service skills
  • Ability to build trust and confidence with others
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and assignments with urgency
  • Ability to operate a computer and use Microsoft Office
  • Interest and/or experience in working in a multi-cultural work environment
  • Openness to learn and then teach Hollingsworth culture and daily practices
